Most courses are suitable for mixed ability - from beginners to intermediate level - unless stated otherwise.  If in doubt, please ask and we'll put you in touch with the course leader.

We can supply all sheet music.  However, if you would like to work on a solo piece please bring this with you.

It's helpful if you can bring one, however we have a few spares if you a travelling light.

Woodlands is in Giggleswick, just over the river from Settle.

If you're driving here, there’s plenty of parking and Settle station is one mile away. We can arrange for pick-ups

Please let us know if you are willing to offer lifts or pick someone up on the way. In this case we will share your contact details with your permission.

Rooms are choosen at time of booking - so yes, there are some en-suites and some rooms that share a bathroom.

3 day courses typically include 9 workshops or 1:1 sessions, of 1-2 hours.  There will also be an afternoon to explore the Yorkshire Dales.

A full itinerary is sent with your booking confirmation.

Yes - you are welcome to share a room with a non participating partner or friend. They are welcome to to join us for meals and of course to explore the local area.

Courses are inclusive of all food and soft drinks, but some include an evening meal out. Please check the course itinerary.

We do our best to cater for everyone, so please ask at the time of booking and we will do what we can. Meals are vegetarian. Please say on your booking form if you have any other requests.

We use fresh products and offer good home cooking, including refreshments and snacks - you might want to bring some wine, beer or anything you particularly fancy.

If you have any particular allergies, please say at time of booking.

We're really sorry, but our courses are adults only.

All bedding and towels are provided.

Please have a look at our terms and conditions. You’re booking with a non-refundable deposit, however if we subsequently fill your place we will refund this. So the sooner you let us know the better. The same rules apply once you’ve paid the balance.

Running specialist small group retreats relies on a minimum amount of participants - as much for your experience as for ours. In the unlikely event that we need to cancel, you will be given a full refund PLUS a 20% discount on the next available course.

We aim for about 10 participants although this is a bit dependant on each course. Sometimes we may reduce or increase numbers to get the best group dynamic and combination of players / singers.
