Ben Crick

Ben leads the choral and strings courses

Ben has established a reputation as an innovative and original conductor who is comfortable working with diverse and challenging repertoire. He is a former BBC Music Fellow and is currently the Artistic Director of Skipton Building Society Camerata and Musical Director of the English National Philharmonic Orchestra. With a strong commitment to higher and adult education, Ben is a visiting lecturer and staff conductor at Leeds College of Music. He can also be found enjoying Yorkshire ale, running up mountains and caving in the Dales.

Sarah Churcher

Sarah runs the singing courses

Sarah Churcher is a graduate of the prestigious Bird College in London. Sarah has a wealth of performing experience and is now teaching singing, speech and drama from her home in the Yorkshire Dales. She has lead choirs for adults and children across the Yorkshire area and has most recently become the MD for a local community singing group for men. Sarah firmly believes that everyone should have the opportunity to find their voice and enjoy singing.


Damian Oxborough

Damian runs the singing courses

Damian is a freelance Teacher of Music, having studied at Hull University gaining a first class degree. He teaches adults and children out of his home studio in Skipton with a philosophy that music should always be about having fun. He has extensive experience running and performing in musical groups, and has been the Musical Director of Carleton Ladies Choir since 2013.

Sophie Rosa

Sophie teaches on strings courses

Sophie studied at Chetham’s School of Music and the Royal Northern College of Music, where she was a recipient of the RNCM Gold Medal. After completing her Masters Degree with Distinction, she finished the RNCM International Artist Diploma in Solo Performance and furthered her studies in America with Midori Goto, Miriam Fried and Donald Weilerstein. She has performed across the UK as a recitalist in venues including the Royal Festival Hall, the Purcell Room, Wigmore Hall, Kings Place and the Bridgewater Hall.

Tim Ochala-Greenough

Tim teaches on choral courses

Tim is Senior Lecturer in Voice at Leeds College of Music.  He is also very experienced professional singer including performances with English National Opera, Opera North, Welsh National Opera, Pavilion and Thursford. Tim's teaching covers Classical, Opera, Musical Theatre and he has particular expertise in helping students with vocal problems.


Sarah Estill

Sarah teaches on choral courses

Sarah took her MA with Distinction in Performance at the University of Huddersfield. She also gained an MMus from the Opera School of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and spent a year on a vocal scholarship at Dublin DIT Conservatoire of Music. Sarah has gone on to win many more international academic awards and has a stella international career. She is Education Advisor to Skipton Building Society Camerata, Director of Leeds Youth Opera and founding Artistic Director of Opera Femina, the UK's first all-female opera company. Sarah has performed for HRH Queen Elizabeth II and recently appeared on the BBC's The One Show where she smashed several glasses using her voice.
